The UK needs electricity. But traditional ways of producing it, such as oil, coal and gas, are polluting. They release so-called greenhouse gases that add to global warming. Discuss young people's immediate reaction.

How important is it to reduce our CO2 emissions?

Carbon-based fossil fuels are also finite. We have already begun to run out of the easily available gas and oil from the North Sea. Talk about the ethics of using up fossil fuels. Should we try to leave the world's resources for future generations? One answer is to get more electricity from the world's natural power such as the sun, wind, waves and tide.
