Resources: Just Out - A round-up of new resources

The Vital Link: Preventing Family Homelessness This guide from the Community Practitioners' and Health Visitors' Association (CPHVA) aims to give workers in primary care trusts a deeper understanding of the issues facing homeless families.

The book has been written by three health visitors who specialise in working with the homeless, and includes tips on how health visitors and other primary care workers can take a proactive approach to combating problems.

- Learning Organisations: A Self-Assessment Resource Pack

Human resource management remains underdeveloped in all parts of the social care sector, according to the Social Care Institute for Excellence, so it has produced this training resource. The pack covers five topics including key characteristics of learning organisations (those that use evidence-based practice) and the informed frontline worker. It also contains a book of references to research.
