Promoting resilience in fostered children and young people
This resource guide looks at how social workers and foster carers can make a difference to children's experience of foster care. It highlights key messages from research findings, and provides examples of good practice and quotes from young people, foster carers and practitioners. The guide is based on two previous Social Care Institute for Excellence publications and is designed to complement the organisation's recent web-based fostering practice guide.

Carers and Learning
This new information resource aims to encourage adult carers, including those with children, to think about the benefits of further learning. It tells them where to go for information about courses, where they can get funding, and how alternative caring arrangements can be made. The leaflet will be promoted by Carers UK and the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education. It will be web-based and available in hard copy.
