Most minibuses in the UK are driven by youth workers, teachers and volunteers.

A significant number will not have undergone formal training or taken a test. The Institute of Advanced Motorists has produced a booklet to improve their skills.

Included is information on legal requirements, loading, driving, motorways, collisions and breakdowns. The booklet is free to charitable or educational institutions.

Information and Guidance on Engaging Young Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual People

Section 28 has gone and 1 December saw legislation to protect LGB employees in the workplace. This guide, produced by the Connexions Service National Unit's targeted support team, is aimed at helping partnerships respond to the needs of young LGB people. It encourages services to take a proactive approach in combating heterosexism and create an inclusive service.
