Resources: Funding Focus - v part two

1 min read

WHAT WILL IT FUND? Specifically, two-person teams of a youth volunteer adviser and youth volunteer development manager. Advisers will work to develop a menu of opportunities for young people and improve access by removing barriers to participation. In particular, they will carry out targeted outreach and awareness work among groups that may not usually get involved in volunteering. They will also look to recruit, train and support youth action teams, which bring together young people in groups that can support each other and make the volunteering experience more enjoyable. The development manager will have a strategic role to broker the creation of more opportunities, plugging into local networks and providing capacity building support to enable more bodies to host volunteers. They will also create a forum that can share resources and promote good practice.
