Resources: Funding Focus - The Diana, Princess of Wales MemorialFund

1 min read

Who will it fund? The UK programme has an overall theme of The Transition to Adulthood and Independence. Applications must fall into one of three categories: refugees and asylum seekers (the fund is particularly interested in supporting specialist youth work and work to develop positive attitudes within communities); prisoners' families; and young people and mental illness. The fund will support campaigning and awareness-raising work and research projects across all these categories. Work will also need to meet a range of general criteria. These include the project being of national significance, that it will involve users and will have a commitment to sharing good practice. The international programme, which is for UK-based and registered charities that may be working abroad, will seek to address social exclusion, poverty and displacement in areas affected by war or serious civil conflict. The areas it will fund include the reintegration of child soldiers, people trafficking and addressing the psychological health of those affected by conflict.
