Resources: Funding Focus - Peter Harrison Foundation

1 min read

What does it fund? It has two open programmes. Opportunities through Sport is a UK-wide scheme offering one-off grants for capital projects that provide sporting opportunities for people who are disabled or otherwise disadvantaged and that enable them to fulfil their potential and develop personal and life skills. This programme welcomes applications from projects with a high degree of community involvement that aim to engage young people at risk of crime, truancy or addiction. A second programme, Special Needs and Care for Children and Young People, funds projects that benefit disabled, chronically or terminally ill children and their parents and carers, as well as projects that help to engage young people at risk of crime, truancy or addiction and projects that provide new opportunities for homeless young people. This programme only accepts applications from southeast England (not including Greater London).
