How did you get into the role? I used to attend a youth club when I was younger. I was part of the Preston Road youth forum, where I was encouraged to get involved.
What attracted you to the role? It seemed like a good opportunity, something I'd never get to do again. The main thing I get out of it is meeting young people and getting my voice heard.
How much of your time does it take up? Usually about six hours a week.
If we're helping to organise a conference, it can be up to 12 hours. I've been doing this role since December, and attend college and have a part-time job as an events co-ordinator. At the moment, we're holding training workshops for other young people who want to be youth advisers.
