Resolving conflict

1 min read Participation
I would make mediation skills part of the National Curriculum. As a mediator myself, I have learned really important skills that will last for life.

Not only can I help others to resolve their conflicts more positively, I can also use my mediation skills in my own life.

When we're at school we need to learn to read and write, but it's also important that we learn how to speak and listen effectively. It would be useful for all young people to have access to these skills, not just the ones that go to school. If I were in charge I would introduce these skills to all youth clubs and youth projects in the UK, so that more young people get the same opportunity that I had.
