A new partnership between the YJB and the Construction Youth Trust is helping young offenders get their lives back on track.

Aim To find employment for former offenders

The Youth Justice Board (YJB) is linking up with the Construction Youth Trust to form a new resettlement project to help young people who have offended find employment and get their lives back on track.

The partnership aims to use the trust's expert knowledge of the construction industry and network of employers, to improve the way local authorities and custodial establishments find work placements for the young people in their care. The Construction Youth Trust lines up potential employers and supports young people through CV writing workshops, mentoring sessions and work placements.
