Project helping young offenders learn new skills

Funding: £10,000 for a six-month project from Sunderland Youth Offending Team

Aim: To help young offenders to learn new skills

Sunderland Youth Offending Team's Resettlement and Aftercare Programme (RAP) is working with Jungle Bricks Street Art Project and The Bunker music studios to teach young offenders new skills.

The Bunker is open three days a week for young people from the RAP to learn how to express themselves through art and photography. The project aims to provide the young people with skills to help them into future education or employment, as well as giving them a hobby and an opportunity to learn in a structured environment.
