RECREATION: Banbury park gets skating facility

The Betty Cameron Playing Field Trust, which runs the park, had already raised 17,000 towards the skate facility, which is used by more than 50 children. A roundabout, slide and under-10s play centre have also been built.

Trust chairman Geoff Jones said: "We are now hoping that we can become affiliated with the National Playing Fields Association in order to help meet insurance costs."
