How much is on offer? Grants of between £10,000 and £500,000 are available to individual projects. This year, an additional £20m has been added to the fund, in response to the increasing pressure facing the voluntary and community sector. The total pot for this year now stands at £80m.
What will it fund? The Big Lottery Fund states that through the Reaching Communities scheme, it wants to help projects that help people get better access to training, and encourage more active citizens who work together to tackle problems.
Who can apply? Registered charities, voluntary or community groups, statutory bodies (including schools), charitable or not-for-profit companies and social enterprises.
