Quality check for Leeds youth clubs youth services

Careers Youth Work
Leeds has become the first council to sign up to use a quality assurance framework developed by the charity 4Children.

The youth service will use the Aiming Higher Quality Improvement Framework to assess how its youth centres are performing. The framework will be used to assess how effectively the service is meeting a new promise to young people. The Breeze Youth Promise has been developed by the city's young people and is due to be launched later this month.

John Paxton, head of youth services at Leeds City Council, said: "We've had more than 900 responses to our consultation with young people and they have substantially changed it."
