Youth services: Leeds backs discount card drive with 'youth promise'

1 min read

The promise will be backed up by a card giving young people access to services, on a similar model to the Government's failed youth opportunity card.

The scheme will use the brand "Breeze", which is already established in the city. The Breeze Youth Promise will outline what young people can expect in terms of access to services, who is responsible for delivering them, and who they should complain to if they feel they are not getting their entitlement.

Leeds is in the process of developing an Integrated Youth Support Service, which will cover local authority and voluntary sector youth services, advice and guidance, volunteering support and targeted support.
