Wormwood Scrubs Local Nature Reserve is a rare green area of built-up west London, nestled between housing estates and the prison of the same name. It should be popular with local residents, but in the past many people have been afraid to use it.
Groundwork West London has been doing its best to improve the area, and the trust recently co-ordinated a one-day event where more than 100 local residents and young people from Hammersmith & Fulham Youth Offending Team came together to make the area safer.
