Goals: To promote social inclusion and supplementary education for disadvantaged communities,mainly in the London area

Funding: Various sources, including the Single Regeneration Budget, the British Waterways Trust, the Paddington Development Trust and Westminster City Council. It also makes an income of 27,000 a year through corporate hire

The 300,000 Floating Classroom project, which has been sending underprivileged young people on educational boat trips for the past year, is held on a 22 metre-long canal boat, the Beauchamp. This has been fully fitted out for teaching purposes. The project's work with young people has recently won the Waterways Renaissance Award for youth projects and education.
