Funding: Honicknowle Commnet, a community development scheme that runs LACIS, is part-funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, with 1,200 set aside for the project
Young carers often have difficulty with their education because of the time and commitment they give to looking after family members. And this commitment often goes unnoticed by their peers and their teachers. Therefore, a project in Plymouth decided that more should be done within schools to raise awareness of young carers and to highlight the support available to them.
