Goals: To use drama and art workshops to educate and debate with young women on the risks of prostitution and partners who "groom" women
Funding: Provided by delivery partners involved
Young vulnerable women in Walsall are to be made aware of the dangers of sexual exploitation and "grooming" by manipulative boyfriends.
Run under the banner of Grooming Awareness Week, a series of workshops involving three groups of 15 young women will this week take part in drama sessions to discuss grooming signs, the risks of prostitution, healthy and unhealthy relationships and where to go for help.
Art and multimedia workshops provided by Walsall Youth Arts and Street Teams will then enable the young women to interpret and illustrate the issues.
