Goals: To enable young people living in hostels in Northern Ireland to make informed choices about sex and relationships
Funding: The Northern Ireland Executive Children's Fund is giving around 38,000 a year for up to three years to run the scheme
Sex and relationships may not be thought of as high on the list of problems faced by young homeless people, but fpa Northern Ireland is recognising their needs with a three-year pilot project.
Set up last September, Check it out! is a partnership between fpa, with support from the Northern Ireland Executive's Children's Fund, and the Simon Community, a charity that provides support and accommodation to homeless people. Workers tailor programmes to young people's needs.
