In a recent visit to the centre, I met people who have remarkable dedication - people like Daniel, Barry, Ray and Mickey. But they are getting fed up and feel let down because money is going to the wrong places and the Government is taking over the voluntary sector. Powerhouse is like a building site. There are no doubt statistics galore to show how much new investment is being made in youth services, but when you see it on the ground, it is clear that the investment is not going to help young people. Connexions is moving into Powerhouse. In fact, Connexions is taking over Powerhouse.
