POLICY & PRACTICE: Briefing - Connexions takes lead from youngpeople

2 mins read

What's prompted this? This is the second annual report focusing on the involvement of young people in the service. Connexions puts great store by involving young people and it is very proud of getting runner-up status in The Guardian/IPPR Public Involvement Awards. Putting Young People First sums up what it has been doing nationally and also includes short case studies from a programme of visits to 12 partnerships.

I seem to remember that some of the first Ofsted reports on partnerships weren't too impressed with the way young people were being involved. Some of the learning from the early Ofsted reports has been collated by the Connexions Service National Unit and published in the form of an aide-memoire, a tool to help senior managers develop a strategic approach.
