A 13-year-old girl feels socially isolated when her phone and computer are confiscated because she has been groomed via the internet. A young victims' worker at Victim Support explains how she helped the girl and her parents agree on safe ways for her to communicate with her friends again.

She had been groomed by an older man who had disguised his age andidentity to make friends with young girls over the internet. He askedSarah to send him photographs of herself. Sarah genuinely believed thatshe had formed a friendship with another young person, as she had donebefore.

However, he also asked her to take part in sexual acts via hercomputer's webcam.
