I work for an organisation that develops and co-ordinates the work ofyouth-led learning in informal education. Occasionally, we run sessionsto encourage young people and workers to think creatively about theirinvolvement.
Recently at a session I became aware of one particular young person whowas not participating in the activities and was sitting by herself. Shewas tearful and seemed agitated. I had met her before and knew her byname.
In the end, I got her helping me with refreshments where we chatted.
She told me there had been a problem on the way there; some young peoplehad not been wearing seat belts and were shouting out of the minibus'windows.
