- I teach a reception class and at the start of the school year lastautumn I got my new class of five-year-olds.
One of the mothers came up to me with her little girl. She was veryanxious and explained that her daughter was very frightened and nervousabout her first day in school. I reassured her and told her that a lotof children are. I didn't think anything of it.
Five minutes into starting the class, the girl was still crying andcalling for her mum. Soon after that she threw up. I took her out of theclass and calmed her down and cleaned her up. The rest of the day wasfine and she seemed quite happy.
