Greenwich is a rapidly changing area of southeast London. It is more diverse than almost any other borough, from its million-pound houses in Blackheath to the Ferrier Estate in Kidbrooke, one of the largest council estates in Europe. The number of actual teenage pregnancies in the borough is higher than predicted, largely because of the very high concentration of a number of specific social groups.

Among those with the lowest income in the borough, there is a high prevalence of teenage pregnancies among White and Black teenage girls.
