More of the usual stuff then? Actually, there are some quite challenging findings in this report about the best structures for project delivery. Although many of the points may be fairly technical, the conclusions do seem to reflect some of the real tensions that arise when you get your hands dirty setting up projects.

OK - so this is a report from the front line? Yes and no. An earlier report on Positive Futures entitled Getting to know you (YPN, 13-19 July 2005, p17) looked at the way projects engaged and built relationships with young people. This current report looks at what lies behind that relationship building, focusing on the "supply lines, channels of communication, management structures, partnerships and cultures of operation" that help or hinder the achievement of programme objectives.
