The London Adventure Playground Network includes more than 30 parents,playworkers, and regional and borough organisations.
Ute Navidi, director of London Play, said many playgrounds felt underthreat from funding running out and developers. She said: "Adventureplaygrounds are often built on valuable land so there is pressure to getrid of them or build expensive leisure facilities and charge forthem."
The network will enable playgrounds to share experiences, informationand best practice.
The group will next meet on 13 June.
