Participation: Youth council starts volunteer network

The organisation is recruiting a team of between 12 and 15 part-time volunteers aged 16 to 25, supported by a team leader, for the North, the West, the East and London and the Southeast.

From March, their work will include consulting young people, conducting research, and working on the organisation's web site. They will work five hours a week for up to four months.

Their work will be supported by seven full-time volunteer interns, who will each oversee an area of work.

All the opportunities will lead to accreditation through the Youth Achievement Award.

The initiative is funded with grants of nearly 500,000 from youth volunteering charity v.
