At the Leicester Youth Government Meeting, 140 teenagers will outline the concerns of young people living in different areas of the city to their own to an audience in the council chamber.
A questionnaire asking young people about life in the city's 28 wards will form the basis of the presentations.
Alex Kamanga, the project's co-ordinator, said: "Young people get to learn about wards different from theirs. We want them to understand what Leicester is about."
The participants will be gathered by youth service staff working with disadvantaged young people in schools.
"Some of the young people we work with don't even cross the street to engage in activities in other wards," added Kamanga.
