Parental support: Charity to set up anti-bullying drive

Parentline Plus is setting up a network of support services for parents worried about their children being bullied.

The parenting charity intends to form five local groups in England bynext spring as part of its new anti-bullying campaign, Be Someone ToTell.

The groups will team up with schools, parents and children to help mumsand dads worried that their children will be bullied when they move tosecondary school. The Department for Education and Skills is funding thegroups.

Jan Fry, director of external relations at Parentline Plus, said: "Wewant to work with primary and secondary schools, and parents of childrenin years eight and nine, to support parents with children leavingprimary school."

The charity will also produce a series of anti-bullying leaflets for itscampaign.
