Over 400 young people attend festival in Leeds

More than 400 young people in Leeds have attended a youth festival they organised themselves.

The REACT Harehills Multicultural Festival included competitions such as a customised version of the Crystal Maze and a range of activities including DJing, circus skills and African drumming. A bar serving tropical non-alcoholic drinks and Bengali curries provided the crowds of young people with refreshment. Leeds City Council's youth service teams were on hand to provide support to the young people who were organising the festival.
