The organisation has teamed up with Clubs for Young People to develop a training programme to provide young people and youth clubs with the chance to be involved in positive activities outside the classroom.
The first stage, 'Training the Trainers', involves members of Clubs for Young People's development team training PGL staff, who will be encouraged to volunteer with their local club.
Simon Antrobus, chief executive of Clubs for Young People, said his organisation had worked with PGL as part of its programme to develop relationships with commercial sponsors. "We have a history of providing structured activities and outdoor pursuits and this is something that they're looking to develop," he said.
