PGL’s new education framework, REACH will help teachers choose an activity plan they believe has the greatest learning benefit to the development of the children they teach, and is informed by research into the learning outcomes that teachers aspire to see at different stages of a child’s development.
PGL provides adventure holidays and day trip for school pupils.
The framework comes after its research found that teachers wanted to see teamwork, new experiences, and independence prioritised for primary school children, while secondary school teachers believed a greater emphasis should be placed on advanced communication skills, confidence, wellbeing and resilience.
Teachers will be able to share the learning outcomes they hope to achieve for their students from residential trips, to help them choose the best programme to deliver on those aims.
