OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Calvert Trust opens doors to able-bodied

1 min read

Jill Schumacher, sales and marketing manager at the trust, said: "At the moment we are running on a deficit budget because our occupancy from October to the end of March is low. The main reason is that disabled people can't keep warm as easily as able-bodied people. So we decided to open to youth groups and others over those months."

Activities at the centre, supervised by trained staff, include rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, horse riding, archery and orienteering, and there is also a swimming pool complex.
