To be fair, Jones is using her column to talk about how much senior citizens have to offer society, but it seems bizarre that she should feel she is part of a controversial backlash, standing up against the massed hordes who are queuing up to shower young people with praise and bouquets of flowers. Whatever the name of the planet Jones is living on, it sounds like a good one.

As part of the fight against obesity in young people, campaigners are calling for a ban on trips to Cadbury World.

A quick glance at Cadbury's web site does ring some alarm bells, with the company inviting schools to include "how Cadbury make their delicious chocolate bars" as part of the National Curriculum.
