YES - Phil Hulks, director of national ministries, Crusaders
Young people have the right to know about faith so they can make an informed choice. There is a difference between giving people the hard sell and providing information on something you believe is right to help others make up their own minds.
Going out into the community is a great opportunity for young people to demonstrate their beliefs, because actions speak louder than words.
We would encourage that and if the opportunity arises to discuss it then that is OK. If you are not allowed to discuss your faith with others, then it can lead to an integrity gap. If as Christians we hide and don't give people a chance to find out about our faith, we are not doing anyone any favours. Evangelism is important to Crusaders, but there's a way to do it and a way not to do it.
