The breadth of faith-based organisations is very large in the UK, so it would be difficult to get representatives from all of them to meetings.

In terms of wider contact with faith-based organisations, there has been a marked increase in government consultations with us in areas such as child protection and criminal record checks. We have also been involved in two consultations on issues outside of the faith remit: foreign policy and antisocial behaviour. But because there is no track record of faith-based consultations, they can become quite nebulous if they go outside the usual parameters of faith-based experience.
