There is a danger that younger people do get overlooked since many more older people are known to vote. But a lot of politicians are trying hard to engage young people in the political process. Recently, Tony Blair took part in the TV programme Tony and June with presenter June Sarpong to reach out to young people in a different way.

You can also see that Blair is trying to get more young people in the audience when he makes speeches or announcements, like at our recent spring conference. There are also certain subjects that this Labour government is talking about that appeal to young people. In particular, there is the action to reduce the levels of poverty internationally.
