Open Eye support for EYFS dissenters

Early Years
Campaign group Open Eye is tracking the progress of nurseries and childminders who try to opt out of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The anti-EYFS campaign group is setting up a separate area on the website to offer advice and track exemption applications.

Graham Kennish, co-founder of Open Eye, said: "We will follow their progress and give them all the support they need."

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority has not received any exemption applications yet (CYP Now, 16-22 October). Open Eye claims this is because the government has deliberately designed the exemption procedure to deter people from opting out.
