On the Ground: Me & my youth worker - 'She really helped me with my problems'

1 min read
Rosie Martin, 18, and Nicola Lainsbury, relational youth worker for East to West, Middlesex.

- How did you meet?

Nicola: "As a relational youth worker, I'm employed to go into schools to offer help to young people. The young people can come to see me just to sound off about issues concerning them. I also run group work sessions with young people as well as teach them life skills. Rosie came along one day to see me when I was working at the Matthew Arnold School about four years ago."

Rosie: "I was having problems at home and not doing very well at school. I was getting really stressed, so I decided to go and talk to Nicola."
