NYA to fund work with young and old

Youth Work
Six intergenerational youth work projects are each to receive 2,000 to take part in a study looking at the impact schemes that bring young and old together can make.

The National Youth Agency (NYA) has selected the Jewish Lads' and Girls'Brigade's Twinning Partnership project; the East Riding Buddying scheme;Community Matters; Trafford Youth Offending Service Intergenerationaland Multicultural Project; and projects in Peterborough and Wythenshaweto set up or extend their existing intergenerational projects.

The projects will form part of the agency's intergenerational networkand will be used to show how such projects work.
