The projects will receive £2,000 each. Bids were scrutinised and subsequently approved by an independent group of young people employed by the agency and with the support of YouthBank UK.
The Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade will run a "twinning partnership" between groups in London and Liverpool with Jewish Care Homes, with evening visits led by young people to include reminiscence sessions, games, chatting and time spent on the internet.
A buddying scheme providing regular meetings between elected members and young people from their local wards will take place in the East Riding area and Community Matters will develop information-sharing among member organisations.
