The NYA has been forced to make the changes following the end of a grantworth 1m a year from the Department for Children, Schools andFamilies, which has been awarded to the agency since its inception in1991.
Now, The NYA is awarded contracts for specific projects. Already 12staff out of 55 have agreed to take voluntary redundancy. It is notclear whether further compulsory redundancies will be needed. LastAugust, seven employees were made redundant.
