Recognising and Recording the Impact of Youth Work; and Capturing the Evidence.

These two linked books inform and stimulate debate and action in the youth work sector about the impact of youth work, and discuss the importance of recognising and recording its impact.

The first shows how impact and outcomes are described in the sector and discusses some of the benefits associated with recognising and recording impact, as well as the difficulties. The findings are enriched by the testimony of youth workers describing how they assess needs, plan and carry out interventions, review progress and try to evaluate the difference they make, and by the words of young people who talk vividly about how youth work has affected their lives.
