Providing evidence of change can often be a bugbear for workers who can clearly see the value of their project's achievements but cannot easily illustrate the benefits to funders. All too often, the need to demonstrate the value of youth work is overlooked in the understandable desire to concentrate on the work itself. Capturing The Evidence, a new set of resources from The National Youth Agency, aims to simp-lify the process and offers tips on how to do it effectively.
Presented in two parts, Capturing The Evidence firstly looks at the tools and processes for recognising and recording the impact of youth work. The techniques and methods presented in this toolkit will support youth workers in identifying and accounting for what young people gain from the youth work they are involved in. It will also help workers to contribute to youth services by enabling demonstration of the service provider's effectiveness.
