The National Youth Agency: New series of seminars aims to showvalue of youth work to young people

1 min read

Capturing the evidence - recognising and recording the impact of youth work also plans to help delegates understand the current policy climate, explore a variety of tools and processes to obtain evidence from young people about what they gain from youth work, and consider how to apply these tools and processes to their current practice.

The workshops, to be held in Leeds, Leicester, London, Liverpool, Newcastle and Exeter between February and May, will be run by Hilary Comfort from the Youth Affairs Unit at De Montfort University and Wendy Flint, accreditation development officer at The NYA. They are joint authors of Capturing the Evidence, a toolkit of activities to elicit what young people gain from youth work. This toolkit, to be published by The NYA next month, and its companion, Recognising and recording the impact of youth work by Bryan Merton, will be available to all participants.
