Nurseries advocate the benefits of fish

Early Years
Children in nurseries are to learn about the health benefits of eating fish, thanks to a project piloted by the nursery chain Busy Bees.

The chain has teamed up with a nutrition expert to educate children about fish and will urge their cooks to prepare seafood for staff and children.

The project aims to get more than 14,000 children eating fish.

Children and staff will also be invited to enter a competition to show off their fish knowledge.

Ady Delaney, the nutritionist leading the project, said: "We want to get young people into nutrition as early as possible which is why we're doing the project with this age group."

Seafish, the quango that promotes the UK seafood industry, is sponsoring the project.
