News in brief: Narey condemns overuse of ASBOs

The former head of the prison service Martin Narey, now chief executive of Barnardo's, last week condemned the overuse of anti-social behaviour orders against young people. Narey's comments coincided with new government figures showing that 2,431 orders have been imposed on under 18s.
