NCB: TV company helps paint a pavilion

On 18 September, NCB's fundraising team along with nine enthusiastic volunteers from Turner Broadcasting came together to paint the playing fields pavilion at Boston Manor, west London.

Turner Broadcasting, the company behind Cartoon Network and CNN, set out to work for the London Playing Fields Foundation, which seeks to promote playing fields to schools and clubs, and improve quality of life through sporting activity.

"We make children's programmes so it makes sense for staff to improve a pavilion for kids and help tackle the lack of facilities for them," said Nick Hart, head of corporate social responsibility at Turner.
